Message from the Director

Information about rehearsal closures or changes in rehearsal schedule and location will be found here..

Hello, singers!

Our first rehearsal is on Monday, Sept. 9th at 7 pm. Our holiday program this season is made up of your favorites; some are traditional carols, some are more anthem-like, but every single one is a request from you!

Our concert is the afternoon of Saturday, Dec. 7th and the dress rehearsal is Friday, Dec. 6th, 7-9pm.

We are also having a choir retreat again this year, on Saturday, Sept. 28th. Plan to join us for much of the day as we sing,

learn, laugh, and lunch together!

Finally, in the spring semester, we are happy to be collaborating with the singers and orchestra in Steamboat Springs again

for a performance of Part III of Handel's Messiah (including, naturally, the Hallelujah Chorus)! Details are still being finalized,

but this will take place on Easter weekend, April 10-12. It is a special opportunity to sing music written about Easter on

Easter, and will be a meaningful and moving experience for the performers and audience alike. Save the dates!

Here is the program:

Carol of the Bells - Christmas Day by Holst (a medley of 4 carols) - Lo, How a Rose - Coventry Carol - Shepherds' Farewell

to the Holy Family by Berlioz - Still, Still, Still - O Nuit by Rameau - O Holy Night - 3 Carols by PDQ Bach (Throw the Yule Log On,

Uncle John, O Little Town of Hackensack, Good King Kong Looked Out) - Huron Carol (arranged by myself for

Native American Flute and hand drum) - Riu, Riu, Chiu (Spanish carol) - In the Bleak Midwinter - White Christmas - Peace, Peace/Silent Night - Gaudete (arrangement of an old Scandinavian carol)

I hope to see you all at rehearsal on 9/9, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!
