Originally formed as the Golden Chamber Choir in the Fall of 2000, this small chamber choir blossomed into the Golden Concert Choir. The choir has since grown and regularly performs 2 concerts a season: one on the first Saturday in December, and one on the first Saturday in May. Concerts over the years have included The Faure Requiem, Mozart Requiem, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Saint Sean's Christmas Oratorio, and works in collaboration with the Denver Pops, Loveland, and Jefferson Symphony Orchestra. In October 2017 the Golden Concert Choir joined the Yampa Valley Festival Chorus and Yampa Valley Symphony Orchestra in Steamboat Springs for two performances of the Mozart Requiem.
In 2002 the choir was incorporated under the laws of the State of Colorado and was granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS.
